The volunteers of the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society are celebrating 40 years in 2014 by giving away a journey every month. Register below to go into our monthly prize draw and be kept up to date with special events.

Founded in 1973, the Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society are a dedicated group of volunteers who have restored and maintained the Railway Line through the Pichi Richi Pass, operating it as a working museum for the last 40 years. From their workshop based in Quorn, the Society has preserved a large collection of heritage locomotives, goods and passenger vehicles, some very rare. Many have been restored to working order to delight travellers through the Pichi Richi Pass.

Join the G'Day SA Travel crew as they ride the Pichi Richi Railway, an historic journey through the timeless Flinders Ranges. See inside the restored heritage carriages and meet some of the volunteers that operate this last remaining portion of the narrow-gauge 'old ghan' line.
